The Web's #1 Family Resource for
African-American Swimmers

Did you know there is only ONE Historically Black College or University with a swim team? Well, it’s true.  And that is the one and only Howard University.  Led by HU Alumnus, Coach Nicholas Askew, the Division One Howard University Swim and Dive Team is truly one of a kind.

In celebration of Black Kids Swim’s Third Anniversary, the team will take a few moments after early morning practice Thursday November 15 at 7:30AM EST to answer questions LIVE from the Black Kids Swim community.  Please send us your questions in the comments section below or on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram.  What would you like to ask a Black D1 swimmer? Here’s your chance!

The swimmers can’t wait to talk about what it took to become a collegiate swimmer, how they balance school and swimming, what they plan to do after graduation, and what it means to be a part of the only HBCU swim team in the country.

We hope to see many of our BKS community members wearing Howard University’s Bison uniform in the near future! HU! You Know!

We want to hear about your amazing swimmer!

Tell us briefly about their latest achievement and attach a photo. We'll feature them on our website so all Black Kids Swim readers can join us in applauding your swimmers efforts.

That’s definitely an option. There are several Black triathlete organizations that are always looking for new members. DC Tri and the Black Triathletes Association Inc.
