The Web's #1 Family Resource for
African-American Swimmers

Black Kids Swim is now THREE years old! November 15, 2018 marks three successful years of growing the Black Swim Community!

Over the last 3 years we have been privileged to meet many talented young Black swimmers and their families.  You shared your experiences and advice with us and we have, in turn, shared that wisdom with the entire Black Kids Swim community.

Will you give BKS a birthday present?

We are asking members of the Black Kids Swim community to give the gift of swimming by donating to our Summer Swim Team Scholarship fund.  Your donations will ensure Black children will be able to participate on a summer swim team.  The summer swim experience strengthens swim skills and opens many doors of opportunity.  Children with proficient swim skills can find employment as life guards and aquatics professionals, earn scholarships to college, and maintain physical health for their entire lives.  Plus, being on a swim team is fun!

In just 3 short years we’ve shown the world that Black Kids do indeed swim! And we’ve encouraged those that don’t to try this amazing sport. We are thankful for the support of our partners; EBAN LivingSafe Kids Worldwide, YMCA, Maritza McClendon, Giles Smith, BounceTV, Ally Theatre, and American Pool’s Guard for Life Program – through their networks we’ve been able to support many more families.

Celebrate With Us!

To commemorate this special anniversary, we’ve lined up a series of interviews and events that you’re going to love! A live interview with Howard University’s Swim and Dive Team on November 15, the launch of new hair care products specifically designed for swimmers from our partner EBAN Living, Nutrition advice from swim mom extraordinaire and the CEO of TheSwimmersBag Benetta Rodgers, an inside look into a Paralympic swimmer’s journey to the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo and much more.

Will you give BKS a birthday present?

Thank you for your support!

We want to hear about your amazing swimmer!

Tell us briefly about their latest achievement and attach a photo. We'll feature them on our website so all Black Kids Swim readers can join us in applauding your swimmers efforts.
