Swim Teams in Solidarity

How Does Swim Teams in Solidarity Work?

1. Teams decide on an “Action of Solidarity” that shows commitment to ending racial injustice. Actions can include Unity Swims, Swim-a-Thons, No Cap Hands Up demonstrations and anything that communicates your teams unique commitment to change.
2. Teams organize and seek financial support from friends, family and community members through pledges to your “Action of Solidarity.”
3. Identify a team member, or parent, whose employer supports fundraising matching programs for 501(c)3 organizations.
4. Complete your “Action of Solidarity”!
5. Collect donations and double them through a corporate matching program.
6. DONATE!
7. Help Black Kids Swim continue to increase Black participation in the sport of competitive swimming through scholarships, education, and special events to expand and uplift the Black swim community
