Summer Swim Team Scholarship 2024 Application

Summer Swim Scholarship Program 2024 application process is now closed.

The mission of the Summer Swim Team Scholarship Program is to provide opportunities for Black children to develop proficient competitive swim skills by offering financial assistance to join summer swim teams. Our vision is to inspire a new generation of confident, skilled, and successful Black swimmers through continued participation in swimming programs.

    How do you believe proficient swim skills benefit the Black community?
    600 words minimum

    How do you believe proficient swim skills can help you in the future?

    (Accepted file types jpg, png. File size limit 2MB)

     

    Contest terms (abbreviated)

    • Swimmer must submit a photo of themself as part of the application.
    • Swimmers must be African-American or of African descent.
    • All payments will be made directly to summer swim team.
    • At the conclusion of the summer swim season, swimmers must write a letter to BKS summarizing their swim team experience.
    • Swimmer photos, contest essays, and end of summer letters will be posted on the BKS website and social media platforms.
    • Swimmer name, image and likeness will be posted on BKS website and platforms.
