Kevin Williams Inspires Others To Swim
Fourteen year old Kevin Williams learned to swim just two years ago in July of 2014. Even though he was afraid at first, he continued learning and training. He now swims for 4MSR (4M Swim and Recreation) founded by Marvin Thorpe.
Kevin is a young man with attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder and intellectual delays. Through swimming and hard work, his grades and focus have improved drastically. Not only is he now on the 4 MSR team, he also volunteers during the summer teaching other kids to swim.
Kevin’s family and Black Kids Swim are extremely proud of his achievements and service. Kevin has encouraged others to overcome their fear of swimming. He encouraged Mary Cherese Williams, at the age of 46, to learn swim.
Thank you Kevin! Keep up the amazing work. Black Kids Swim is cheering for you!
