BKS Founder Wins Change Maker Award
Each year, Aquatics International chooses 10 aquatics professionals and advocates who have fostered change for the aquatics industry, and more importantly for the population in general. The 10 awardees are profiled in the magazine’s annual Power Issue.
This year, Black Kids Swim Founder Ebony Rosemond was named a Change Maker for her efforts to increase the number of Black competitive swimmers.
“When Ebony Rosemond’s daughter joined a swim team, she didn’t know she’d be entering one of the whitest sports this side of curling…”
Ebony is a wife and mommy of two gorgeous swimmers. She started Black Kids Swim to help parents (like herself!) who want to be supportive swim parents to African American children.
