Summer swim programs are crucial for 4 stroke proficiency and are our gateway to higher level competitive swimming.
As a 501(c)3 not-for-profit business, Black Kids Swim does everything possible to support our families in Summer Swim programs because we understand the significance of representation in competitive swimming.
Your continued support of BKS and EBAN hair care products for swimmers makes programs like the “Facebook Group Celebrity Swimbassador Admins” possible. Thank you!
But every year BKS faces the biggest challenge to our swim community.
Loss of institutional knowledge.
Each year families leave swimming programs. Whether the child has aged-out or the family has engaged in a new endeavor, outgoing families leave with their years-long accumulated swim knowledge, forcing new families to begin the process from square one!
The erosion of knowledge and support in a sport that we know to be exclusionary and stacked against us makes progress extremely difficult.
